When a combustion device 15, a blower 17, and an electric motor 20 are operated, air inputted in a garbage disposer 1 is fed to a first drying chamber 8 and makes contact with refuse charged in the first drying chamber 8 to dry garbage. When, during drying of the garbage in the first drying chamber 8, a rotary shaft 6 is rotated in a given direction, the garbage is agitated, crushed, and dried by an agitating rod 5 in the drying chamber 8, and conveyed in a second drying chamber. Air containing a smell generated from the garbage flows through an air for drying exhaust passage 14 and branched by a branch part 19 into primary air (b) for combustion and secondary air (a) for combustion, which are respectively guided to the burner part of a combustion device 15 to effect deodorization. Air inputted by a blower 17 is heated and discharged through an exhaust passage 16.
