To provide a garbage drying treatment device which is capable of preventing large round lumps from being formed even when garbage having a high content of a boiled-rice component is treated and also, facilitating post- treatment for forming the treated dry garbage into a fertilizer or feed, and further, appropriately being used for an advanced recycle type recycling society.

This treatment device is provided with: a receiving vessel 1 for receiving garbage; and an agitation means 17 for agitating the garbage within the receiving vessel 1; wherein the agitation means 17 is provided with agitation blades 16 and each of the agitation blades 16 is provided at least at its one edge with recessed and projecting parts 20. Thus, even when garbage having a high content of a boiled-rice component is treated and large round lumps are formed from the garbage in the process of garbage drying, such large round lumps are shredded and ground, and post-treatment for forming the treated garbage into a fertilizer or feed can be facilitated.
