To provide a garbage treatment system which can efficiently be operated and stably supply a product in a garbage treatment system which treats garbage and wastewater produced from homes, business sites, etc., and does the reuse and application to power generation of the product.
The garbage treatment system is provided with a crushing means for crushing the garbage produced in homes and business sites, a conveying means which mixes the garbage crushed by the crushing means with domestic wastewater and conveys the mixture by way of a conveyance route installed separately from a route for wastewater containing excrement, a biological treatment means for the anaerobic microorganism treatment of the crushed garbage conveyed by the conveying means, and a fuel cell power generation means for generating power by a fuel cell based on a combustible gas obtained in the course of biological treatment in the biological treatment means.
