Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas bag module for an occupant, in which production of components is very easy and the number of members is reduced, and which is capable of remarkably reducing material cost, manufacturing cost, and assembly cost.
SOLUTION: The gas bag module for an occupant, is made up of a compressed gas container 1, a pipe member 2 which has outlets 3 and which is capable of surrounding the compressed gas container 1, two plate end-plates 4 fastened to the pipe member 2 by the compressed gas container 1, and gas bag which is folded and arranged on the pipe member 2 and a part of which surrounds the pipe member 2 and which is installed in the pipe member 2. The end plates have inward projected bowl-shaped parts, and are fitted in the pipe material 2 by means of the bowl-shaped parts.
