PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier laminate capable of exhibiting excellent barrier properties over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The gas barrier laminate is formed by bonding a first film having a first substrate and a first inorganic oxide thin film on the first substrate to a second film having a second substrate and a second inorganic oxide thin film on the second substrate via an adhesive layer. In each of the first inorganic oxide thin film and the second inorganic oxide thin film, the number of defects of 100 μm or larger present per square meter is 2 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
