Abstract:
To obtain an inexpensive gas circuit breaker in which breaking characteristics and a phase control function are improved.
A phase control valve device is installed between a heat buffer device of the gas circuit breaker and an arc region between opening/fitting contacts, and opened by a timing based on a phase of a breaking current, and a gas pressure in the heat buffer device is made to be maintained even at a current zero. The phase control valve device is equipped with an annular plate member which moves in the axial direction or the peripheral direction, and opens and closes an opening of a gas communicating passage, and the annular plate member may be a check valve by biasing the gas passage opening to be closed all the time.
