To provide a gas cutting torch holder which has a large run off margin of a torch body when the body hits a work or the like and which is capable of eliminating a damage to the torch body or a torch holding structure.
This gas cutting torch holder is provided with an arm 3 for holding a torch body 2, bearing 4 which freely rotatably supports the arm 3 on an axis shifted against the axis of the torch body 2 and which is attached to the tip end of a gas cutting machine and an impact detector 12 for detecting the partial displacement of the arm 3. This bearing 4 is made to a ball bearing rotatable at 360°. In addition, the torch holder is provided with a spring pressing mechanism for stipulating the normal operating position of the arm 3 and actuates the impact detector 12 linked with the operation of this spring pressing mechanism.
