Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for decomposing gas, in which flow of gas in a porous catalyst body is not disturbed, flowing gas can be uniformly heated, a large amount of gas can be efficiently decomposed by making the gas flow, gas can be heated at a fixed temperature and is made to act on the catalyst even when the flow rate varies.SOLUTION: The apparatus for decomposing gas 100 is constituted by charging the porous catalyst bodies 11, 12, 13 having continuous pores in a vessel 1 where gas is made to flow. The apparatus for decomposing gas 100 is provided with the porous catalyst bodies which are constituted so as to be able to heat gas flowing in the continuous pores by heat generation caused by energization and porous power supply bodies 7, 8, 9, 10 which have continuous pores and supply power to the porous catalyst bodies.
