Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare low concentration gas phase calibration standard with a small device and to generate concentration change of the calibration standard by controlling flow of standard gas and delusion gas with the use of two calibration orifices.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 12 for standard gas and a cylinder 14 for dilution gas comprise a standard valve 16, respectively. Conduits 18 and 20 transport gas from the cylinders 12 and 14 to respective pressure regulators 22 and 24, and the conduits 26 and 28 transport, to down stream side, gas from the pressure regulators 22 and 24 to high precision pressure sensors 30 and 32. An mixing device 38 comprises calibration orifices 40 and 42 and a T-like mixing chamber 44 which introduces a diluted eventual gas to a device for calibration. An accurate mixture ratio of dilution gas is also decided by orifice size as well as gas pressure and concentration. The gas is, for accurate flow control, set to flow in the calibration orifices 40 and 42 at sound speed.
