To provide a gas drier which can surely detect whether the drier is in the ignition state of a gas burner or the fire extinction state.
In the gas drier 1 which includes a drum 26 and a combustion chamber 12 having a gas burner 11, and introduces the air heated by gas burner 11 into the drum 26 to perform drying of the materials to be dried, a thermocouple 21 is further arranged to the gas burner 11, and a control section 50 determines the ignition state of the gas burner 11 when the output value of thermocouple 21 exceeds the ignition determination threshold value, and determines the fire extinction state when the output value is less than the fire extinction determination threshold value, and based on the output value of thermocouple 21 during drying the materials to be dried for predetermined period, it updates the ignition determination threshold value and the fire extinction determination threshold value.
