To provide a gas flow type reactor capable of producing a high molecular weight polyketone having ≥2.5 dl/g intrinsic viscosity and developing excellent mechanical and thermal properties while attaining high polyketone polymerization activity in an inexpensive catalyst system by using carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenic unsaturated compound as raw materials.
The gas flow type reactor comprises a reaction tank (A) having one or more raw material gas feed ports for feeding a raw material gas as foam to the lower part, a gas-liquid separator (B) for separating an excess gas pulled out from the reactor (A) into an unreacted raw material gas and a solvent, a filtering apparatus (C) for pulling out slurry containing a reaction product produced in the reactor (A) and filtering and separating the reaction product, and recycling piping and a recycling pump for recycling the unreacted raw material gas separated in the gas-liquid separator (B) to the reactor (A).
