Abstract:
To provide a gas generator that has shortened the time from a time point when an igniter is actuated to a time point when gas starts to be discharged.SOLUTION: A gas generator 1A includes: a housing in which an ignitor 40 is assembled on one end side in an axial direction, and a filter 90 is disposed near the other end in the axial direction; and a sealed container 60 disposed between the igniter 40 and the filter 90, which houses a gas generating agent 70 inside. The sealed container 60 includes a cup body 61 including a cylindrical side wall part 61b and a bottom wall part 61a for closing one axial direction end part of the side wall part 61b, and a cover body 62 attached to an opening end, which is the other axial direction end part of the cup body 61, for closing the opening end. The bottom wall part 61a of the cup body 61 is disposed on an igniter 40 side, and the cover body 62 is disposed on a filter 90 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
