PURPOSE: To make the whole of a gas-insulated induction electric apparatus compact, by making the axial positions of its high-voltage and low-voltage windings discrepant so that their end parts are kept away from each other.
CONSTITUTION: A gas-insulated induction electric apparatus comprising a tank filled with an insulation gas, a core 1 stored in the tank, high-voltage and low- voltage windings 2, 3 wound respectively around the core 1 which are provided opposite to each other in the radial direction of the core 1, and electrostatic shieldings 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B provided respectively on the end parts of the windings 2, 3 which are protruded respectively from the end parts of the one winding in the direction of the other opposite winding. Further, in the apparatus, the axial length of the high-voltage winding 2 is so formed as to be smaller than the low-voltage winding 3, and the high-voltage winding 2 is so provided as to be within the axial range occupied by the low-voltage winding 3. Thereby, since the electrostatic shieldings of the end parts of the windings 2, 3 are kept away from each other, the dimension of the gap between the windings 2, 3 can be reduced. Also, since the axial length of the low-voltage winding 3 is made large, the radial width of the low-voltage winding 3 is made small too, and the size of the whole of the windings can be reduced.
