PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the positioning of a gas introduction pipe, and to facilitate production, when the gas introduction pipe is inserted into a pipe insertion hole and a sealing agent is filled therein, even in the case a gap part sufficient for the filling of the sealing agent is formed between the outer circumference of the gas introduction pipe and the circumferential wall of the pipe insertion hole.
SOLUTION: The gas leakage prevention structure of an upper plate for gas blowing has a gas introduction pipe 3 for blowing an inert gas into a molten metal outflow hole 2a provided on the upper plate 2, and a pipe insertion hole 4 into which the gas introduction pipe 3 is inserted so as to form a gap part 4a. Further, the structure has a sealing agent filling hole 4b provided on the upper plate 2, communicating with the pipe insertion hole 4, and filling a sealing agent 5 into the gap part 4a, an annular protrusion 3a projecting from the outer circumferential face of the gas introduction pipe 3 to the outside, abutted against the circumferential wall 4c of the pipe insertion hole 4 and closing the gas part 4a, and the sealing agent 5 filled into the gap part 4a.
