Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas oil compsn. which has an excellent lubricity while retaining a low sulfur content, has an improved low-temp. flowability, and does not cause a trouble in a fuel injection pump nor the worsening of an exhaust gas.
SOLUTION: This compsn. is obtd. by adding 15-2,000mg of an additive to 1l of a gas oil having a sulfur content of 0.001-0.05wt.%. The additive comprises an ester compd. (A) of a hydroxylated nitrogen compd. and a carboxylic acid mixture contg. 5wt.% or higher unsatd. or branched fatty acid or comprises a combination of compd. A with a polymer (B) obtd. from at least one monomer selected from among an olefin, an alkyl ester of an ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid, and a vinyl ester of a satd. fatty acid. When the combination is added, compd. A pref. accounts for at least 30wt.% of the sum of compd. A and polymer B.
