Abstract:
To provide a gas oil composition capable of cutting the weight of the whole PM and the count of nanoparticles in the exhaust gas from diesel engines, and good in fuel economy.
The gas oil composition is such that: the whole aromatic fraction is at 5-16 vol.%; polycyclic aromatic fractions are at 0.5-13 vol.%; the 90% distillate temperature is 270-330°C; and the nanoparticles exhaust index (NPI) calculated by formula: NPI=0.037×A+0.21×B+0.054×C+0.097×D [wherein, A is the content (vol.%) of hydrocarbons ≥300 in molecular weight; B is the content (vol.%) of ≥10C aromatic fractions; C is the content (vol.%) of ≥10C naphthene fractions; and D is the content (vol.%) of paraffin fractions] is 10 or less.
