PURPOSE: To enhance cutting-off performance and re-closing cutting-off performance of a gas-sealed circuit breaker.
CONSTITUTION: In the center of a fixed contact piece unit B housed inside a cylinder 1, a fixed contact piece 4 is fixed to a support portion 8 via a support member 4a, and a fixed arc contact piece 5 is disposed outside the fixed contact piece 4. The fixed contact piece 4 is fixed to the support portion 8 via a cylindrical tube table 20 and a first coil 21 for generating a magnetic field. A float piston 22 is interposed between the cylinder 1 and the tube table 20 in such a manner as to be slidden inside the cylinder 1 by a spring 23. A small-diameter projection 22a projecting rearward is formed on the float piston 22, around which a second coil 24 is disposed. A locking portion 20a for locking the leftward movement of the float piston 22 as viewed in Figure is formed at the rear end of the tube table 20. The first coil 21 is connected in series to the fixed arc contact piece 5 via the tube table 20.
