Abstract:
To provide a gas sensor in which both sealing performance and strength are improved in a seal member mainly composed of talc.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 1A includes: a sensor element 21 extending in an axis O direction; a main metal fitting 11 having a through hole penetrating in the axial direction and surrounding a periphery of the sensor element; and a seal member 41 that is filled between an inner face of the main metal fitting and an outer surface of the sensor element to seal a clearance between the main metal fitting and the sensor element. The seal member contains talc as a main component and kaolin of 3 to 20 mass% relative to the seal member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
