Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an air separator to more appropriately contact the air separator with turbine first-sequence discs in a gas turbine.SOLUTION: An air separator includes: a cylindrical member 22; and a seal flange 28 including a flange body 36 extending radially in a rear end portion of the cylindrical member 22. A head section 42 includes an axial flange arranged in a radially outward free end portion 66 of the flange body 28, arranged axially backward of the flange body 36, and defining a rear seal surface 60 for engagement with a front surface of a blade disc; and a front cantilever head bulk portion 64 extending axially forward from the flange body 36. An axial distance dof the head bulk portion 64 from a connected portion of the head bulk portion 64 connected to a front side of the flange body 36 to an axial front surface of the head bulk portion 64 is larger than a maximum radial dimension dof the head bulk portion 64 from a radially inward side to a radially outermost side of the bulk portion 64.
