Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent steaming from being induced and pressure variation and thermal variation between a pipe line piercing a pressurized vessel and the pressurized vessel from occurring by making it possible to perform constant pressure operation of a cooling apparatus, which cools gas produced by gasifying solid and liquid fuel, at either of steady-operation conditions and partial operation conditions.
CONSTITUTION: Solid or liquid fuel 14 fed to a gasifying furnace 1 is cooled to a specified temperature by a gas cooling apparatus 2 before unburnt carbonaceous constituents are removed by a char recovering apparatus 3 and dusts and sulfurous constituents are removed by a gas refining apparatus 4, and the fuel is made to burn in a combustor of a gas turbine 5 to drive a generator. A pressure control valve 11 is installed at a main steam outlet of the gas cooling apparatus 2 and pressure within a steam system of the gas cooling apparatus 2 is controlled at a constant pressure by effecting a previous pressure control by use of the control valve. Therefore, even if operational conditions of a waste heat recovering boiler 6 are changed, temperature distribution within each part of the gas cooling apparatus 2 is kept constant in a partial load operation and the like.
