To provide a gasification furnace and its operating method which prevent air from leaking into the furnace through a nozzle installed on a furnace wall, and which prevent the nozzle for mounting equipments from being blocked up by generation of clinker which generates by occurrence of any area being locally high in temperature resulting from combustion of product gas by leakage of the air in a gasification furnace device.
The nozzle 23 for mounting equipments which is installed on the furnace wall 10a and where various types of equipments are mounted is provided with a gas inlet 24 for filling inert gas or steam 25 to prevent outside air from leaking into the furnace through the nozzle 23 for mounting equipments in the gasification furnace where combustible material put into the furnace is gasified. The inert gas or the steam 25 is filled into the nozzle 23 for mounting equipments through the gas inlet 24.
