Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification furnace for oxidizing a raw material to produce a product gas, in which when producing the product gas, both tar and crystalline silica can be prevented from being generated simultaneously.SOLUTION: A gasification furnace for oxidizing a raw material to produce a product gas is provided with means for keeping an oxidation region for oxidizing the raw material, at predetermined temperature or within a predetermined temperature range, is further provided on the upper of the uppermost portion of an estimated char layer with a raw material-introducing part as means for passing the raw material through the oxidation region within a range of a predetermined time period, and is further provided with an oxidizing agent-introducing part on the upper of the uppermost portion of the estimated char layer but on the lower of an opening in the raw material-introducing part. The opening in the raw material-introducing part is formed such that a direction in which an oxidizing agent is introduced runs in a horizontal direction or upward in the horizontal direction. A product gas-outflow part for flowing out the product gas is provided on the upper of the opening in the oxidizing agent-introducing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
