To provide a gasket capable of securing airtightness by reducing tightening torque more than conventional tightening torque, and to provide a pipe coupling having high airtightness using the same.
This pipe coupling has a first pipe piece, a second pipe piece communicated with and connected to the first pipe piece, the ring-shaped gasket 3, and a box nut member for fastening the first pipe piece and the second pipe piece. An annular first projection is formed on a first connection surface of the first pipe piece, and an annular second projection is formed on a second connection surface of the second pipe piece. The gasket 3 has a gasket body 31 having a pair of opposed side surfaces 35 opposed to the first connection surface and the second connection surface and a ring-shaped spring 32 formed in an annular shape along this outer peripheral surface and stored in a storage groove 34. A V-shaped groove 36 as an annular abutting part abutting, with inner-outer double annular contact surfaces, on the first projection and the second projection is formed on both opposed side surfaces 35.
