To provide a Gatch (bed and bed boards with motorized/manual adjustment of body position) mattress having raising and laying down function similar to a bed device having ordinary back lifting and knee lifting function.
This mattress 2 is constructed by connecting a back mattress corresponding to the back, a waist mattress 2b corresponding to the waist, a knee mattress 2c corresponding to the knees, and a leg mattress 2d corresponding to the legs to be bendable. A back part expanding and contracting body 3 for expanding and contracting the back mattress 2a to be inclined is disposed on the lower surface of the back mattress 2a. A leg part expanding and contracting body 4 for moving up and down the connecting portion between the knee mattress 2c and the leg mattress 2d to incline the knee mattress 2c and the leg mattress 2d is disposed on the lower surface side extending from the knee mattress 2c and the leg mattress 2d. The mattress is provided with a fluid supply means 5 for controlling the supply of a fluid to the back expanding and contracting body 3 and the leg expanding and contracting body 4 to thereby conduct the raising and laying down operation of the back mattress 2a and the tilting operation of the knee mattress 2c and the foot mattress 2d.
