When a skier wants to temporarily stop the use of a card 1 for taking a rest or the like, and brings the card 1 nearer to a time stopping device of a card returning machines or the like, a time from the present time to the ending time of the card is updated as a card usable time and written on the card 1 together with a using time stopping information. When the user again uses a gate and a gate device section 2 detects the using time stopping information, the section 2 decides the sum of the present time counted by means of a clock section 23 and the usable time of the card read through a communication functioning section 21 as the use terminating time of the card. Since the use terminating time of the card is extended by the stopping time, a substantial card using time can be summed up and a comparatively high price feeling of a time ticket can be eliminated from the card 1.
