A gate valve 100 includes a valve casing 101, a valve element 104 moving in Y1 direction and Y2 direction, and a valve element side guide part 111 attached to the valve element 104. The valve element side guide part 111 includes a protrusion 111d formed in a position closer to an end on the Y1 direction side than an end on the Y2 direction side in the valve element side guide part 111 and abutted to the valve element 104 so as to receive external force toward the Y1 direction from the valve element 104 moving in the Y1 direction, and protrusions 111b and 111c formed in a position closer to the end on the Y2 direction side than the end on the Y1 direction side in the valve element side guide part 111 and abutted to the valve element 104 so as to receive external force toward the Y2 direction from the valve element 104 moving in the Y2 direction.
