Abstract:
PURPOSE: To gather envelopes in which different enclosures are sealed by the preset combination.
CONSTITUTION: A gathering device is provided with a carrying conveyor device 3 provided with a plurality of sorting pockets, a plurality of envelope supplying units 7a, 7b, 7c for supplying envelopes in which enclosures are sealed, and arranged in the specified order into the sorting pockets, bar code readers 9a, 9b, 9c for reading bar codes provided on the envelopes, a control part 10 for controlling supplying of the envelopes to the sorting pockets from respective envelope supplying units 7a, 7b, 7c on the basis of the read content of the bar code readers 9a, 9b, 9c, and a binding device 11 for binding a plurality of envelopes supplied into the sorting pockets and gathered. The specified envelopes are longitudinally supplied into the sorting pockets of the carrying conveyor device 3 and gathered, and the mutual envelopes are bound.
