Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve high overall efficiency and excellent mechanical performance with less structure cost of, in particular, a geared multishaft turbo- compressor with high overall pressure ratio.
CONSTITUTION: In a multistage geared multishaft turbo-compressor with impellers 8a arranged in series in terms of flow, two or more compressor impellers 8a driven directly via a central gear or indirectly via pinion shafts 6 at the circumference of the central gear are arranged on one pinion shaft or on a plurality of pinion shafts 6 arranged in parallel to each other.
