To provide a gene transduction cell sheet into which an object gene can be readily transduced and can be prepared in a shortened time, particularly obtain a congenic cell sheet that can increase the take percentage to the living body and can produce the product of the introduced gene for a long period of time after the introduction.
This cell sheet is constituted with plural layers of mucosal epithelial cells into which the object gene is transduced. As the mucosal epithelial cells are more anaplastic, the object gene can be easily transduced. For example, in the case that the gene of an antimicrobial peptide is used as the object gene, the gene transduction cell sheet can be inhibited from its infection as a transplant thereby increasing the take percentage. In another case where human blood coagulation factor IX is used as the object gene, the formation of the blood coagulation factor IX can be retained in an organism for a long period of time.
