Title:
GENERATING EQUIPMENT BY HEAT PIPE TURBINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61255202
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain efficient recovery of thermal energy by arranging each field magnet of an axial flow turbine peripheral part in an expansion area of a heat pipe container and magnetically coupling these field magnets with field coils, which are arranged at the outer surface of the said container so that they correspond to the magnets, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When liquified fleon 22 in a heat pipe container 20 is heated and evaporated in an evaporation area, which is situated at the lower part of the container 20, by means of an external heat source A whose heat is to be recovered, the fleon steam stream 'a' thus generated goes upward via an axial flow turbine 26 situated in an expansion area, which is located at the upper part of the container 20, thereby rotating a steam flow turbine blade 30 and consequently an axial flow turbine 26 itself. As a result, electromagnetically induced electric power is generated between a plurality of field magnets 32, which are provided at the peripheral part of the axial flow turbine 26, and field coils 34 of stators 33, which are provided at the outer surface of the container 20 so that they face to the corresponding magnets, respectively. The steam flow 'a', which passes through the turbine 26, is condensed and liquified in a condensation area 25. It then goes down along the inner peripheral part of the container 20, giving the rotational force to surrounding rings 29. It is finally returned to the evaporation area 23.
