Abstract:

To provide a method for visualizing environment information on an image by embedding the environment information such as sensor information or operation information about a household electric appliance into a photograph file, so as to enable the acquisition and management of the intuitive environment information.

An environment including the appliance 2 is photographed by a camera 1a to acquire image data. A tag 2b associated with the appliance 2 is retrieved in the image, and identification information about the appliance and coordinates of the appliance in the image are acquired on the basis of the tag. Appliance information including address information and the operation information about the appliance is inquired to a directory server 3 on the basis of the identification information about the appliance. The appliance information is acquired, the address information included in the appliance information is referred to, and a work state is inquired to a state provision part 2a of the appliance 2. The coordinate of the appliance inside the image, the appliance information including the address information and the operation information about the appliance, and additional data including information about the work state of the appliance are added to the image data.
