PURPOSE: To obtain a germicide composition useful for the disinfection of use and waste water system in paper pulp industry, etc., exhibiting an excellent synergistic disinfecting effect with very slight amount even in the coexistence of bacteria and fungi with high safety, etc., containing a specific compound and Na pyrithione, etc., as active ingredients.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains at least one species of a compound expressed by the formula [R is 1-4C alkylene; R' is ≤24C alkyl, alkenyl or HOR; A is negative ion making phosphorus compound to water-soluble; (n) is 2 or 3; (m) is 0 or 1; (n+m)=2 or 3; (x) is 0 or 1; (n+x)=2 or 4; (y) is equal to valence of (x)], e.g. tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium sulfate and at least one species of sodium salt of 2-pyridylthiol oxide (abbreviated as Na pyrithione) and 2-(thiocyanomethylthio)-benzothiazole as active ingredients. Said composition has an excellent stability and long activity, etc., and is added to use and waste water system for disinfectivus purpose in various industries.
