Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent generation of harmful materials and to improve getter performance by using a volatile solvent for a carrying material, and by using zirconium alloy as a metallic component. CONSTITUTION: A getter comprises 15 to 35wt% powdered nickel, 30 to 70wt% zirconium alloy, and the remainder thereof formed of aluminum having a thin- layer structure carrier by a carrying material. In this case, the carrying material is formed by using 20 to 80vol% volatile solvent, and does not contain connective components. Hence there is no generation of harmful material due to dissolution of the connective components. A nickel powder promotes sintering, and the guttering effect of zirconium alloy is improved. Compared with the case of using zirconium individually, the zirconium alloy enhances hydrogen coagulation hardening capability and facilitates pulverization with effective getter formation.
