To provide a getting-on and getting-off assist device for a vehicle capable of securing sufficient support rigidity of a board and securing foldability.SOLUTION: A getting-on and getting-off assist device for a vehicle includes: a board 22 rotatable between an expanded first posture P1 and a folded second posture P2, on which a vehicle occupant can be seated temporarily in the first posture P1; a support frame 24 for supporting the board 22 rotatably between the first posture and the second posture; an attaching part 26 for supporting the support frame 24 from below and attaching the support frame 24 to a vehicle body 6; a rotation shaft part 30 for rotating the support frame 24 in a back and forth direction of the vehicle; and a load support member 40 for connecting the support frame 24 and the board 22, and supporting the board 22 from below. The load support member 40 is disposed at a position separated on a rear side of the vehicle more than the rotation shaft part 30, and extends obliquely upward toward an underside of the board 22 from the support frame 24 when the board 22 is at the first posture P1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
