To simply perform the operation of turning an attitude of a console box 5 into a flipped-up one, and the operation of switching the attitude of an intercepting rod 8 between a receding one and an intercepting one, in the case where a hydraulic excavator is provided with the flip-up console box 5 and the intercepting rod 8 for blocking a passage in front of the console box.
An operating knob 9 for performing the operation of switching the attitude of the intercepting rod 8 to the receding one from the intercepting one is operated further backward beyond a receding-attitude position. Thus, the console box 5 is linked so that its attitude can be changed into the flipped-up one. Consequently, operability is improved by making the operating knob 9 of the intercepting rod 8 also serve as an operating implement for switching the attitude of the console box 5 to the flipped-up one.
