To make a wrapping work easy for a gift wrapper at a site for packaging an article and to reduce the quantity of refuse after use by a method wherein a square gift wrapping paper with gift symbols printed at the center thereof is provided, and packaging designs formed of strip patterns and colors are printed along at least the upper and lower sides of the wrapping paper.

A gift wrapping paper 1 for simple packaging is formed of a printing part 4 being long sideways made up by printing gift symbols 2 and 3 at the center of rectangular wrapping paper 1a and printing parts 7 having packaging designs formed of strip patterns 6 and colors printed thereon extending sideways respectively along the upper and lower sides 5a and 5b of the wrapping paper 1a. Upon using, the gift wrapping paper 1 is laid in the center on the upside of a case 9 for housing an article therein, and both ends at the right and left of the gift wrapping paper are stuck respectively to the right and left sides of the case 9 to complete a simple packaging. With sticking agents applied beforehand to both ends on the right and left at the reverse side of the gift wrapping paper 1, the gift wrapping paper 1 can be stuck simply and certainly to the case 9 only by pressing the parts whereon the sticking agents are applied. On the other hand, the quantity of refuse after use can be reduced.
