Abstract:
To provide a gland packing suitably used for a soot blower removing dust adhering to a heat transfer surface of a petroleum processing furnace and the like.
Yarn 10 is made by twisting aromatic polyamide fiber and carbon fiber, and five pieces of yarn twisting carbon fiber is bundled to be a center core material 11. Around the center core material 11, sixteen pieces of the yarn 10 are braided to be a rectangular cord shaped unit, and lubricant made of turbine oil and graphite is impregnated in the rectangular cord shaped unit, thereby structuring the gland packing.
