PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass cullet classifying device which increases the number of the pieces to be treated per unit time, makes the device small-sized, improves classifying accuracy and further executes the classification of different quality glass (heat resistant glass) which his the serious defects in the process of glass bottle regeneration and color classifying for the purpose of recycling.
SOLUTION: This device includes a hopper 1, a rotary feeder 6, an inclined guide plate 5, a transporting belt 17, a different glass identifying device 37 which irradiates the surface of the cullet passing over the slits of this transporting belt 17 to emit light and identifies whether the different glass or not by analyzing the light emission spectra, one unit of color identifying device 42 which identifies colors, a different glass identifying trigger sensor 33, a color identifying trigger sensor 40, an air nozzle for blowing down the cullet to the different glass and the cullet by each color in a prescribed position, a contactless type photoelectric sensor for detecting the cullet passage of the air nozzle section, recovery chutes 42a to 42e which receive the blown down cullet and a controller 28 which controls the opening and closing of the solenoid valve of the air nozzle blowing down the cullet by a prescribed signal.
