Abstract:
To obtain a glass fiber fabric with no stitch deformation, easy to handle, and, in particular useful in the form of a curtain, screen, wall paper, etc., by weaving noncircular cross-sectional glass fibers having the noncircularness ratio within a specific range to plain weave texture.
This glass fiber fabric suitable as an industrial material is obtained by weaving noncircular cross-sectional E-glass fibers with a noncircularness ratio of pref. 1.5-6, convergence filament count of 25-1,000 and twist number of 0.1-5 turns/25 mm to plain weave texture; wherein there is no limitations, in particular, as to the noncircular cross-sectional shape, it may be not only flat, but also elliptic, peanut-shaped, Y-shaped, X-shaped, or the like.
