To obtain a glass fiber-reinforced water-proof type finishing coating composition which maintains good flexibility and good applicability as a coating material and gives coating films having improved tensile strengths, and to provide a method for applying the coating composition.
This glass fiber-reinforced water-proof type finishing coating composition is obtained by adding chopped glass fiber strands having an average cut length of 6.0 to 8.0 mm in an amount of 0.5 to 4.0 wt.% to a glass fiber- reinforced water-proof type finishing coating material. The method for applying the glass fiber-reinforced water-proof type finishing coating composition comprises spraying the coating composition to the surface of a substrate and then slightly pressing the sprayed surface with a roller to which a thinner for the coating material is adhered.
