Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material feeding device and a glass manufacturing apparatus, capable of feeding uniformly powdery raw material, and capable of saving a space for a powder treatment device such as a glass melting furnace, and reducing manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A glass manufacturing apparatus 1 includes a raw material feeding device 2, and a glass melting furnace 3. Molten glass M formed by heating a glass-making feedstock R is stored in a heating space S of the glass melting furnace 3. The raw material feeding device 2 includes a feeding part 4 for feeding the glass-making feedstock R into the heating space S, and a plate-like member 5 for leveling the glass-making feedstock R in the heating space S along a liquid surface L of the molten glass M. The plate-like member 5 is provided movably forward into the heating space S or backward therefrom.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
