Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain spectacle lenses which are hard glass lens spectacles, are frameless, are light in weight, have good transparency, lessen laboriousness and are resistant to flawing.
SOLUTION: These spectacles are the hard glass lens spectacles and allow the handling of hinge parts and pad parts in the same manner as for plastic spectacles by production working technology. Both sides of a glass lens body are worked with portions for mounting the hinges 1 and the pads 2. The lens body is bored with a hole of an elliptic shape larger than a bolt for a detent. The hole is closed by a plastic material. The lens body is subjected to working by heat from the front surface and the rear surface based on the knowledge on the nature of plastic. The elliptic hole is made slightly larger at the front surface and the rear surface than the center.
