Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an etchant which can suppress the enlargement of flaws due to etching (namely, suppress latent flaws) and can uniformly etch over the whole surface of a glass plate.SOLUTION: A glass plate etchant comprises hydrofluoric acid of 5-15 mass%, at least one inorganic acid selected from the group consisting of sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid of 10-20 mass%, hexafluorosilicic acid of 10-25 mass%, and water as solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
