Title:
GLASS FOR SUBSTRATE AND CERAMIC BASE USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3240271
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemically stable borosilicate glass composition and a ceramic substrate containing the glass and to provide a method for producing the ceramic substrate.
SOLUTION: This glass for a substrate comprises 55-67mol% calculated as SiO2 of silicon oxide, 3-11mol% calculated as Al2O3 of aluminum oxide, 16-26mol% calculated as B2O3 of boron oxide and 3-11mol% each calculated as SrO, CaO, MgO or ZnO of at least one of strontium oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide. The glass for a substrate has a small amount of orthoboric acid formed and will not cause inconvenience in terms of production of a ceramic substrate. The ceramic substrate using the glass for a substrate can be sintered at a low temperature and is low in dielectric constant and dielectric dissipation factor and high in flexural strength.
