Title:
GLIDING KITE AIRPLANE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3947697
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gliding kite airplane capable of making a variable speed flight, safety flight and landing by using propulsion airflow of the propulsion device for both propulsive force and lift force, and capable of minimizing the size of incidental equipment.
SOLUTION: The gliding kite airplane 10 has a kite-type wing part 14 curved in the shape of projection to the front side, a jet propulsion device 22 which generates the propulsive force and the lift force by emitting jet airflow oblique downward toward a curved recessed part formed on the back surface of the wind part 14, and a horizontal stabilizing wing 26 for changing the inclined angle θ of the wing part 14 during the flight. When increasing the inclined angle θ, the flying speed becomes slow due to the large air resistance. The variable speed flight becomes possible and the safety landing at slow speed becomes possible by increasing the inclined angle θ in landing.
