Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glossy fine coated paper capable of being produced by an on-machine process and having rigidity, and to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: This glossy fine coating paper is made by mixing waste paper pulp in an amount of ≥ 50%, making an internal ash content to be not less than 5% but less than 15%, adding an internal paper strengthening agent in an amount of 10-20 kg/t based on pulp, and mixing starch and a latex into a binder of the coating layer in an amount of 5-10 pts based on a pigment. Thus, the glossy fine coated paper having the prescribed rigidity is obtained, even when subjected to soft calendering treatment, by the on-machine process with good productivity.
