Abstract:
To provide a glow plug control device which can prevent a crack of a heat generation part of a glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug control device 35 stores a period after an IG switch 38 is turned on, being a period which is in a flooded environment that a heat generation part 31 of a glow plug 30 is flooded with water which is produced in an intercooler 17, and intrudes into a cylinder 3 as flooded timing, and when it is determined that an atmospheric temperature becomes higher than a freezing point from a state that the atmospheric temperature is equal to the freezing point or lower, the control device controls the glow plug 30 so that a temperature of the heat generation part 31 becomes lower than a first temperature A at which a crack of the heat generation part 31 does not occur even when the heat generation part 31 is flooded with water in a period of the flooded timing during the execution of the temperature rise control of the glow plug 30 after it is determined that the IG switch 38 is turned on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
