Abstract:
To improve durability of a glow plug using a heating coil mainly consisting of W.SOLUTION: A glow plug 10 comprises: a metal tube 810 mainly consisting of Ni, and containing Fe, Cr, Si and Al, and a tip of which is closed; a heating coil 820 stored in the metal tube 810, and mainly consisting of W; and MgO powder with which the periphery of the heating coil 820 in the metal tube 810 is filled. The metal tube 810 is filled with one or more kinds of gas selected from a group consisting of nitrogen, argon and helium. In an inner wall of the metal tube 810, an oxide of a metal component constituting the metal tube 810 is formed so as to have a thickness of 0.1 μm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
