Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ease power transmitted between an intermediate shaft and a ceramic heater.SOLUTION: A glow plug includes a main body metal fitting, a ceramic heater, and an intermediate shaft. The intermediate shaft includes one or more constricted portions extending along a direction of axis and having a plurality of groove portions formed over a circumferential direction of the intermediate shaft on an outer peripheral face of the intermediate shaft in a state of being arranged in the direction of axis. The constricted portion at a most tip side includes a portion arranged at the tip side from the intermediate position in the direction of axis between the tip and the rear of the intermediate shaft. With respect to the constricted portion at the most tip side, pitches in the direction of axis, of the plurality of groove portions is less than 1.1 mm. On a flat cross-section including the axis, the groove portions respectively include a tip-side inclined face inclined obliquely to the direction of axis toward a tip side, and a rear end-side inclined face inclined obliquely to the direction of axis toward a rear end side. With respect to the constricted portion at the most tip side, an angle between the tip-side inclined face and the rear end-side inclined face is less than 60 degrees.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
