Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug comprises: a cylindrical sheath tube with a bottom that is made from a metal including nickel (Ni) as a main component, and is extended to an axial line direction; and a heat evolution coil that is made from the metal including tungsten (W) or molybdenum (Mo) as the main component, of which a part is arranged in the sheath tube, and in which one end is connected to the bottom part of the sheath tube. The heat evolution coil comprises: a spiral line part of which a part of itself is arranged in the sheath tube; a straight line part 822 that is connected to one end of the spiral line part, and is extended to an axial line direction; and a projection part 823 projected to a direction intersecting a center axis of the straight line part. At least one part of the straight line part and a whole part of the projection part are embedded into the bottom part of the sheath tube.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
